Coming: 200W Mains Frequency Converter

December 25, 2014 by Ken Reindel

(UPDATE: Our move has delayed this product introduction to Summer 2016). We will soon be adding on to our family of Frequency-Precise Power Inverters. Our new Model 1935-200W will be available in 2016. This new product is in response to requests from customers for a product that can power larger devices sensitive to power line frequency. We hear from customers outside the USA, where power line frequency is 50Hz, who wish to power 60Hz device, as well as customers in the USA where power line frequency is 60Hz, who wish to power a 50Hz device. Customers like the Model 1935-60W but are looking for more power.

With the introduction of the Model 1935-200W, our family of converters will look like this:

Model 1930: Meant primarily for clocks, some turntables, telescope equatorial mounts, clippers and shavers under 12 watts
Model 1935-60W: Use with products such as turntables, tape players, clippers and shavers between 12 watts and 60 watts
Model 1935-200W: Industrial applications, juke boxes, audio systems, any application requiring up to 200 watts of power

The Model 1935-200W will be the same rock-solid, reliable, Made in USA quality as our other converters.

If you would like more information, or to place an order before the device is available on our website, please contact us at ken@kccscientific.com. Or, if you have an application which requires under 60 watts of power, you can purchase our Model 1935-60W here:

Will we ever produce a product with more than 200 watts of power? As always, we are interested in hearing from you and details about your needs. This year we have been able to accommodate a number of special requests from customers, and in fact this feedback has helped us shape our product line.
