You can run your clock from standard Alkaline D cells or from a rechargeable battery, with a unit that looks as vintage as your clock! Our Alkaline cell models will run most clocks for about one year. Long Life and G cells will run most clocks for 2 years. We also offer 24 volt models for special self winding clocks such as the Bell System long distance billing timers.

1900 Series Batteries

All 1900 Series products are respected for their high quality. Stainless steel hardware, heavy knurled nuts, and pleasing vintage aesthetics are what you will experience. On the inside, soldered connections throughout, protection circuitry (on 3 volt and Long Life models), and reliable electronics are what distinguish our products. Hundreds of our products are in the hands of our very satisfied customers. All 1900 series products are warranted for 2 years.

The Model 1900 is a pair of early 1900’s No. 6 National Carbon Company units. Our most economical model, it simply contains a replaceable alkaline D battery in each No. 6 unit. It is suitable for most Self Winding Clock Co. models that wind hourly and do not have synchronization capability. Not suitable for impulse-style clocks such as Hipp-toggle, American Clock Co., Imperial, Trinity, or others that wind on a short impulse.

The Model 1900L is just like the Model 1900 above, but with two alkaline D batteries in each No. 6 unit. It provides double the life in comparison to the Model 1900. It is great for vintage clocks, telephones, cigar lighters, etc.

The NEW Model 1900G (also a No. 6 unit) is an alkaline D battery-powered No. 6 National Carbon Co. unit that produces a solid, regulated output of 3.3 volts. That means that the clock will wind as if it has fresh batteries in it, every time. It is perfect for the troublesome impulse-style clocks such as Hipp-Toggle, American Clock Co., Imperial, Trinity, and Gregory models. This product is so efficient in its use of the battery's energy that we call it our Green (environmentally-friendly) model. The Model 1900R series (also a No. 6 vintage unit) offers the convenience of a rechargeable battery with approximately nine months of run time between charges. LIke the 1900G, the 1900R solves the troublesome problem of powering impulse-style clocks due to its solid, regulated output of 3.3 volts. That also means that the clock will wind as if it has fresh batteries in it, every time.

The 1900S No. 6 Synchronizer Kit powers the clock, AND provides a replica of the Western Union impulse to your clock's synchronizing coils on the hour. Your clock will retain its vintage appearance while rekindling the nostalgic experience of daily time synchronization once provided by the Western Union service. Choose the 1900GS Kit as an upgrade to the 1900S Kit. Battery life is extended to 2 years.

Note: These products provide the correct voltages and signals originally intended for these self winding clocks. In addition to restoring the vintage aesthetics, they replace unsightly transformers or circuit board modules, rectifiers, black boxes, or batteries with incorrect voltages.
