What is going on with KCC batteries?

November 14, 2023 by Ken Reindel

If you have been watching or trying to shop in our store, you will notice that many of our batteries are presently unavailable. This is temporary as we purge out alkaline batteries.

We’ve had enough! Leakage and battery holder issues have been plaguing our customers. We don’t know why; alkaline battery manufacturers changed something in the last few years and now they are unreliable. Duracells have been especially leakage-prone.

The new products will be based on either Energizer Ultimate Lithium cells (which are literally breakthrough in nature) or rechargeable chemistries which don’t have the leakage problems and never have.

We are very excited and cannot wait to have these back in stock with the updated battery chemistries!
